on the hand shown below and solved it by making an imaginative bid.

So
what do you do on that North hand after partner has responded 2C to your
opening bid? 2H is grotesque and to reverse into 2S even more so. (I so hope
nobody did that.) As 2C is forcing you have to bid again and 2D seems to me to
be a sensible choice. Partner will only raise with four card support which is
what happens here, but you simply pass and notch up a sensible score noting in passing
– rather annoyingly – that practically anything at a low level will make.
