is fine as a weak two opener and in much the same way 2S is a fine response.
However it is not forcing! You show a strong hand and find out more about the
make-up of a weak two opening by relaying with 2NT but any actual suit bid
without a jump should be treated as limited. Here I know that North/South can
make ten tricks in spades but that is well against the odds and only happens
because the layout of the adverse cards is so benign.
