The
bidding might go in many ways but I do think that South should introduce
diamonds if only to try and get partner to find the right lead if defending. Of
course there is no right lead and 6C is cast iron with 7C unlucky to fail.
North’s final decision is on a knife-edge and I have great sympathy for a
double of 6C. As it happens 6S is laydown unless West finds the impossible
underlead of his hearts for a diamond ruff. At the table 6C doubled made in one
room with 6S doubled making by team mates, which converted into 21imps!!
