3S is a splinter agreeing diamonds, forcing to game, and showing a singleton or void in spades. South should make life difficult by bidding 4S and West should pass, forcing of course. Once his partner shows club control West should not be concerned that his heart cue-bid shows the ace or a void, for his partner would hardly be bidding so strongly missing the ace of hearts and the two top diamonds. So 5S it is and without the king of clubs West signs off in 6D. I know it’s not easy but it was never meant to be!
