Too Hard

11th December – Board 24. Love All. Dealer West.
Some decisions are just too hard but a general rule of thumb is to take out insurance whenever possible.

South certainly has a decision over 4H with the options being pass, double or 5C. Put me down in the latter camp although 5C fails by one trick, as would 4H. However make partner’s king of hearts the king of spades then 5C is cold with 4H still just being one down. And on a really bad day both games will make when it would be imperative to bid on.
